Loving God
God rightly desires our attention and focus. If we don’t worship Him, we will end up worshipping something else. All of life should be a response to God. We worship God with our lives by serving Him with an attitude of humble submission. God’s people (the Church) are called to declare God’s praises—sometimes with our words, always with our lives.
The weekly worship service is simply a gathering of those who have been worshipping all week long. It is unique in that it is a specific time for God’s people to worship Him together. Although there are many different elements in that service, the primary concern is pleasing God. Worship is a selfless act, therefore the first question must not be “What do I want?,” but “What would please God?”
